Did You Know?|

In 1885 When Richard E. Teichgraeber purchased what was to become the Eureka Roller Mill, he insisted that the mill be equipped with the finest machinery available. Only with the best equipment could he produce flour suitable to meet his standards of excellence.
Through the years these principles of maintaining good equipment and selling only quality products remained paramount in his mind. Richard died January 19, 1931.

And in his mind of his successor, eldest son “Dick” these principles along with those of thrift and hard work were instilled. After a ruinous fire in 1934, Dick Teichgraeber began building the Eureka Mill & Elevator, successor to the Eureka Roller Mills, on its present site, 9th and School, when he specialized in feed manufacturing in place of flour milling.

George W. Aicher, a son-in-law, joined the firm after World War II. Rapid technological development in live-stock nutrition and feed manufacturing demanded an almost continuous building program to keep abreast of the trends. To accommodate the increased patronage from the ever-widening area, the business was incorporated in 1954. In April of 1965, R.C. Teichgraeber sold his stock to the remaining stockholders.

In 1970 the name of the business was changed to Ranch Aid, Inc and in 1976, George Aicher and his wife, Maribelle Teichgraeber Aicher, and son Eric L. Aicher became the sole owners of Ranch Aid, Inc.

Products and services include feed manufacturing for all classed of livestock which continues to be the major emphasis. Additional services include seed sales and processing, agricultural chemicals, fertilizer sales and applications, grain drying and merchandising.
